So hello! I know it's been a few weeks since my first post and I apologize. Life just kind of gets in the way some times. I have a bit of time tonight though due to having the stomach bug... an extremely horrible stomach bug. So this blog is courtesy of my mother-in-law keeping my son for the night.
The stomach bug hit the Kirchner household two nights ago starting with my husband. He was practically hurling his guts out. I felt so terrible and we ended up going to the hospital for him. He has never been to the hospital and certainly has never been willing to go to a doctor. Diagnosis: stomach virus.
Despite my efforts of distancing myself, sanitizing everything in the house, and covering my face to bring him things.... I GOT THE STOMACH VIRUS. Now, I know normally they are terrible for your average person. However, for someone with severe Crohn's disease this is a whole other ball game. It started with vomiting, viciously. Today though, I have practically been peeing out of my butt. Yes graphic, I apologize! This whole stomach virus though escalates to another level when you already have a disease that makes you shit your brains out on a regular basis. I have gone to the bathroom about 20 times today and probably will go another 30 times through the night if this keeps up.
I also forgot to mention I had a pretty serious bowel resection done about 12 weeks ago. Talk about painful. Since I've been sick I have felt like my incision was going to rip open. This roller coaster called life has been quite crazy lately. I'm ready to take a break from all these terrible things!
